What if...
You don't have time to do a lesson per day?
Lessons are from 15 mn to 40 mn long each but may require more time on your side, so let's say one hour per day is the maximum.
If you can't make it, that's perfectly OK; the lessons are yours forever, and you can make it at your own pace.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What are the supplies needed?
I'm using this sketchbook, and different mediums: watercolor, gouache, crayons, acrylic markers, colored pencils, pens, and some stickers. If you don't have everything, no worries, in each lesson I'll give you alternative mediums.
When are the live coaching sessions?
Live coaching sessions are on 10th, 20th and 30th. We use Zoom for this, you don't need to have an account to attend the sessions. I begin the sessions at 7 PM GMT+2, Paris Time. That's 1 PM in New York and 10 AM in Los Angeles. Check your own time here.
What if I can't attend the live sessions?
Every live coaching session will be recorded, the replay will be available the next day inside the course.
I have never drawn portraits, is it for me?
The course is designed for beginners, the difficulty is increasing each day. So, if you make the exercises, you can do it! All you need is willing to do it.

Fun faces
Cecile's gouache courses are so much fun, her enthusiasm for the medium shines through. In Portrait Party she shows us more mediums and more styles, always enthusiastically and always with a smile. I enjoyed Portrait Party and although work pressures meant I couldn't follow along as religiously as I'd have liked, I fully intend to finish. The other students were very engaged and it was a pleasure to see their artwork in the course area. I highly recommend Cecile's membership and courses, she is very generous with her time and very patient in her teaching and feedback. Fun and accessible
Very fun to do. Well laid out progression- you almost don't notice how much better you're getting so quickly. You can experiment with several mediums or just one. Highly recommended.

Great Course, Great Teacher
I learned a lot from this course. With the live sessions, the beginning portrait artist (that would be me) can learn to see what their mistakes are and how to correct them. Cecile also takes you through a variety of styles and mediums so you don't get stuck on "there is one way to do things." Finally, she tought the greatest (yet hardest) hardest skills of all: letting go of perfection as you learn the process and the ability to laugh at yourself. This is the third class I have taken from Cecile, and they are all great.

One of the Very Best Courses I Have Ever Taken
This course is so immersive and enjoyable and I've learned many new strategies which have loosened up my work- something I always strive for. I was super attracted to the style of the portraits that Cecile has shown in the course description and I realized that in the drawing and painting I have done in nearly my whole life, I never had the facial structure presented in a way that was both easy to understand and very fun! I don't know how she did it but instead of taking a purely academic, dry approach, she sprinkled the demonstrations with solid structure and a more carefree attitude that made it all feel so much easier. Cecile also included three live critique sessions where we could send in our work and have our questions and concerns addressed. The way she handled these critiques made it so easy to see where we could change specific details to fix any issues and was very enlightening. Now, instead of laboring and constantly tweaking details for a portrait that takes hours to do, I have a structure to rely on that gets me there much faster! The community was also very supportive. One of the other things that I also truly appreciated was that the cost of this course felt very good to me. Cecile is very kind and helpful. Seriously, I highly recommend this course for all the reasons above and more!
