Do I need to know how to draw or paint to take this course?
Not at all! This course is designed for everyone—especially those who feel unsure about their artistic skills. Gel plate printing is playful, forgiving, and full of surprise. You’ll learn how to make beautiful prints without needing to draw a single line.
What supplies do I need?
You’ll need a gel plate, acrylic paint, a brayer, and paper to start. Inside the course, you’ll find a comprehensive supplies video and a list with links. Most materials are easy to find and beginner-friendly.
Is this course for beginners or experienced artists?
Both! If you’ve never touched a gel plate, this is the perfect introduction. If you’ve played with one before but never really explored its potential, you’ll discover new techniques and creative ideas to expand your practice.
How long is the course?
There are 30+ short (about 2 hours long in total), hands-on videos you can complete at your own pace. You can watch everything in a weekend—or spread it out over time. You get lifetime access, so there’s no rush.
Do I need a Gelli® brand plate?
Nope! Any gel plate will work. The techniques are the same whether you’re using a commercial plate or a homemade one.
